3.4 Air Pollution

In my zip code (95961) which is Yuba county, the top polluters are the U.S Air Force Beale AFB at 128,006 lbs followed by American Composite Inc at 13,108 lbs and the difference is significant. The top pollutants are Xylene (Mixed Isomers) at 126,501 lbs, Styrene at 16,208 lbs followed by Lead at 3,011 lbs. Only 3% of houses in Yuba County have a high risk of lead hazards. Fortunately, my zip code does not have a Superfund sites which is the nation’s worst toxic waste sites, in fact in 2004 my country ranked to be amongst the cleanest/best 10% of all counties in the U.S. The nearest Superfund site near where i  live is located in Beale. The air quality in my zip code is not great, in 1999 it ranked amongst the dirtiest at 30% in terms of pm- 2.5 emissions. The water quality is better and over the National Average at about 70%. The zip codes social justice   ratios were almost all around the same all ranging between .80 up to 1.66.
